Le premier roman "de"
J.R.R Tolkien publié depuis 30 ans arrive le 17 avril prochain en Angleterre et aux Etats-Unis, tout du moins. Et depuis plusieurs mois maintenant, l'excitation monte lentement, mais sûrement, parmi les amateurs. C'est à dire qu'on nous promet «
une histoire épique d'aventure, de tragédie, d'amitié et d'héroïsme », rien que cela.
Avec les 25 illustrations inédites signées
Alan Lee + 8 peintures (voir celle de la page 96, ci-jointe), les experts de l'auteur s'attendent surtout à voir déjà les studios se déchirer pour acquérir les droits d'adaptation de ce "nouveau" roman : «
Cela donnerait probablement un très bon film, si quelqu'un réussissait à obtenir les droits », déclare même l'un d'eux. «
Tolkien voyait son oeuvre comme une seule longue histoire de la Terre du Milieu : de sa création à la fin du Troisième Âge. The Children of Húrin
est l'un des premiers chapitres dans cette histoire bien plus longue. »
